Class was fine today. The most exciting part of my day was going to the volleyball game against Texas Tech with Isaiah. Going to the games is so much fun, and our volleyball team is really good. The game started out kind of rough for Texas, but they found their rhythm by the end of the first set and finished the match in only three sets. My favorite players are Sarah Palmer (libero- being a defensive specialist, myself, this player is almost always my favorite, and Sarah is really good anyway) and Hannah Allison (setter) and they both had a great night. Texas actually ran a 5-1, so Hannah got to play a lot more than she did in the last match I went to.
Watching the games always makes me miss playing volleyball. I played all throughout middle school and high school; but I haven't played in nearly a year, and I'm really starting to miss it. I'm going to try to find some friends that I can play a game with every once in a while.
On the subject of hobbies, I took some time this evening to practice some of the various talents I have picked up in my pursuit to "know a little about everything." This pursuit included picking up random talents, which include chess, pen spinning and solving Rubik's cubes (I can only solve the first face). So, I practiced all of these things tonight just to be sure I don't forget how to do them.
Other noteworthy happenings today include watching
500 Days of Summer with Isaiah and our friend, Molly, finishing
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and feeding a squirrel! The squirrel didn't actually eat the Wheat Thin I offered it, but it came up to me and smelled the cracker. I was really excited about this, because squirrels are my second favorite animals, and I love interacting with them. They are so cute!
As for
500 Days of Summer, it's one of my favorite movies, and I never get tired of watching it.
