We watched
The Thing, a 1982 sic-fi film remake of
The Thing From Another World (1951), based on the novella,
Who Goes There?, by John W. Campbell Jr. in Banned Books and Novel Ideas today. I just can't help but laugh when I watch these old sci-fi movies. Of course, I also turn my head out of disgust at what I'm seeing on the screen, but I just can't stop laughing. This kind of worried me today considering that we were studying the film for it's horror aspects. Instead of being terrified, I just laughed out loud! A lot. Is it worth watching?? Eh, not really, but that's just my opinion.
Let's see, the only other thing I really have to talk about is studying on our dorm's sun deck. Sara, Karen and I have studied up there for the past two nights. Fall is really here now, and it feels great up there at night. I'm trying to introduce Karen to wonderful new music, but it's not working as I had hoped it would. I'll keep trying, though.
I'm very thankful to have my little cousin Isla, who was born a year ago today. I love her so much! Happy birthday Isla :)
